True story
A client contacted us for a demo on Laserfiche. They had purchased a more sophisticated solution for their business. It was also very expensive: $50k. However, their administrative staff refused to use it. It was too difficult and foreign for them to adapt to. Their senior staff did not want to learn it as well.
After purchasing Laserfiche, their administrative staff was trained in less than 4 hours. They loved the software. Laserfiche has a very similar look and feel to Microsoft Explorer, so it's instantly familiar and easy to use.
Unfortunately their first solution also used proprietary imaging software that our engineers had to convert to the Laserfiche image, the .tif - an industry-standard format. Another $20,000 was paid to convert their scanned documents with the proprietary format to the .tif. It was a very expensive lesson.
