Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
Microsoft Exchange Server has greater reliability and performance, with features that simplify administration, help protect communications, and meet users' increasing demands for greater mobility.
Making the decision to optimize your IT infrastructure for ever-changing business conditions is costly, so investing in solutions that provide reliability and choice is critical.
Exchange Server 2010 allows our engineers to tailor a solution to meet our clients' unique needs, and provides a simplified way to help keep email continuously available for users.
It provides users a cost-effective method to securely access all of their communications—email, voice mail, instant messaging, and more—from virtually any platform, Web-browser, or device.
For businesses, highlights include:
-
New integrated archiving and discovery capabilities.
-
New unified mailbox resilience model that provides high availability, disaster recovery, and back up capabilities.
-
Ability to easily delegate administration to specialized users, such as the help desk or compliance officer.
-
Comprehensive information protection capabilities—from e-mail moderation to automatic e-mail encryption.
For users, highlights include:
-
A consistent inbox, calendaring, and contact experience across the PC, browser and phone.
-
Integrated conversation view bringing together information across all folders, inbox and sent and deleted items.
-
Ability to remove (or "mute") themselves from irrelevant conversations with the click of a button.
-
Text preview of voice mail messages in the inbox.
-
New Call Answering Rules to easily create customized voice mail rules, such as call transfer options.
-
Mail Tips to notify users about potential mistakes before they send e-mail.
End of Life Support for Microsoft Exchange Server:
- Support for Exchange Server 2000 ended on January 11, 2011.
- Support for Exchange Server 2003 ended on January 8, 2008.
Migration Path:
There is not a direct migrate path from an existing Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2010. Exchange 2000 must be upgraded to either Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2007, and then upgrade to Exchange 2010.
Recommended path: Uupgrade from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003, and then upgrade from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.
To migrate to new technology, our engineers perform:
- An in-depth analysis of which Exchange Server Edition is designed to meet your business and technology needs;
- A hardware analysis to ensure your server(s) meet the system requirements for the new Exchange Server;
- A thorough analysis to ensure the compatiblity of your current Microsoft products & 3rd party software to the new Exchange Server operating system;
- A migration plan to ensure the success of the upgrade.
